Acrylic felt panda, from about a year ago. His lower legs look just awful, but he was mostly an experiment to try attaching different colored pieces together neatly. I had plans to make a whole army of pandas in different color combinations, but never got around to it.

I never posted this for some reason. This was the first felt pony I made, and the only one to be made completely from wool. She will never have eyes, but I think she looks better without them.

It is done.

slowfireburn replied to your post: Nope yep yeah
I like figsheep! Also, your doodles don’t suck :3

you are too sweet. Thank you.

anyways figsheep.tumblr.com it is. i’ll not be posting any art to dreamsyrup any more. Mostly felts and crafts from now on.

Nope yep yeah

Okay I’m gonna start a new blog just for doodles and drawings. It’s official. Past the point of no return here. Yep. But all of my old usernames are taken already, (except for one) and I can’t decide on a new one:

figsheep

sneezepotion

blueyaoi

anjeris

or

eggsnap

I know they all kind of suck but if anyone would help me choose it’d help keep my doodles out of here.

Thank you for your time.

I never did  post any pictures of any fiber blends, so here are the only three I’ve ever taken pictures of. They’re just different colors of acrylic fiber blended together to give a really nice effect when spun or felted. Nebby the bear was felted entirely from blends, not a solid color on that bear.

Since I’m a total dork, these color combos have names. 1st is phoenix down, 2nd is cadenza, and 3rd is blue flame.

A little mouse-tryoshka, felted from acrylic fiber. I guess I forgot to give her a tail. I might add on some nubby little legs, later also.

Spring is..

rebirth, awakening,and new beginnings.

Spring means a resurgence of birds and insects and flowers.

How lovely.

It is also full of deceptively sunny days when the wind blows cold. Dusty, gritty sidewalks are surrounded by soggy muddy grass that actually smells pretty awful. There is as of yet no shade from the trees, and there won’t be for at least a month.. The nights, while shorter, become much darker.

Personally, I think spring is just as bad as winter. I mean, I guess we kind of need that in-between period so we can adjust to the warmer weather, and it isn’t just BAM, suddenly summer. But does it have to be such a slow and bitter and dirty process?

The great thing about needle felting is that there is almost no such thing as wasted material. If you mess up on something, you can either fix it at any time, or just cut it off and use it for something else.
This little guy is unfinished as of yet, but I can tell you that his head started out as that of a cat, and his body that of an otter. (both scrapped projects) I still haven’t decided whether he’s going to stay a bunny, or become a bat, though. Or maybe something else?

GDI

Those little moments that let your palm, fist, or even a tabletop land a critical hit on your forehead.

I had read halfway through book 6 of Harry Potter before I understood what Diagon Alley meant.

I just now, after a week and a half of binge-reading that was super bad for anyone, especially my dumb sleep schedule, but was soooooo worth it, realized that Land Of Little Cubes And Tea shortens down to LOLCAT.

OMFG
